For those who already take care of themselves, exercise regularly, and look after their bodies, just keep up your habits. Of course, pregnancy brings some restrictions, such as avoiding high-impact exercises or beauty treatments not recommended for pregnant women.

The first step to maintaining beauty during pregnancy is for women to feel well and happy, and in this way, enjoy caring for themselves more. Basic care such as good hydration by drinking plenty of water is advised, since skin and body go through sudden changes during pregnancy, becoming drier in appearance and needing more elasticity to support the growth of the belly. Water helps powerfully to maintain the quality and viscosity of the skin during this period, as well as to hydrate the whole body.

There is also an endless variety of moisturizing creams and oils for pregnancy on the market that promise miraculous actions to prevent spots and stretch marks. However, it's sufficient to trust the simple and most recommended ones, namely, almond oil and grape seed oil. The use of sunscreen is also advised—not only in pregnancy but at any stage of life. However, when skin spots appear during pregnancy, sun exposure can make the marks even darker. Nowadays, it’s possible to find foundations with sun protection, combining usefulness with beauty. This way you can protect your skin from sun exposure, cover expression lines, pimples, and pregnancy spots, and maintain your beauty during pregnancy.

Since blackheads and acne increase in pregnancy due to elevated hormones, it is recommended to have skincare cleanses, preferably with natural products that do not harm fetal development. Skin treatments based on acids are not recommended at this time. One suggestion is to wash your face with rice water, which is not only natural but also helps control skin oiliness.

The hair almost always undergoes a beneficial effect due to pregnancy. The increase in estrogen tends to make hair fuller, shinier, and stronger, even growing faster. For oilier hair, using suitable products can help give the hair more life, and the same goes for drier hair—well-groomed, healthy hair always contributes to well-being during pregnancy.

Those accustomed to chemical treatments, straightening, and dyeing will have to pause these habits for now. During pregnancy, the use of these products is not advised because of potential risks to fetal development. Opting for ammonia-free toning shampoos and hydrating the hair with natural products is the rule of the moment, in addition to using a flat iron to keep the hair straight.

The cosmetics industry offers products that can be used safely throughout pregnancy. Nail polishes, hypoallergenic makeup, and a wide variety of moisturizers and perfumes won't cause any problems, and thus will keep you looking beautiful in pregnancy.

In addition to the help of beauty products, another way to ensure well-being during pregnancy is to follow a balanced diet and eat healthily. Adequate weight gain without excess will bring a smoother pregnancy, with less chance of developing stretch marks, more energy, and the ability to return to your pre-pregnancy body after your baby is born—one of women's biggest concerns.
