Children's Play
It's not only fun that children gain through children's play. They can learn a lot, mainly gaining better development of their motor, physical, and psychological coordination.
  • Modern-Day Play

In the past, playing meant children in the street, running from one side to the other, hiding, skipping rope, and coming home absolutely exhausted from their completely active day. Nowadays, play has modernized and the running around has been replaced by technology. Games are played over the internet and don't even require friends to have fun. Few still find enjoyment in games that require physical effort, but those who try them enjoy it a lot and think it's very fun.

Children's play comes in many forms, and a child can have fun even without their favorite doll or beloved toy car. All they need is another child or other children and to put their creativity to work. For those who live in condominiums or in a spacious house with plenty of room to run, playing hide-and-seek is always an excellent idea. They can spend hours and hours running, hiding, searching, and having fun. This is one of the many children's games that have been passed down from generation to generation, as an inheritance from parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and so on, just like skipping rope and tag.

Children playing in the yard

Children's games have modernized. Rules and details have changed, but the fun remains the same. One of the all-time favorite toys among children, which gets updated more and more and keeps kids increasingly engrossed, is the video game. The games have evolved and moved from video games directly to the internet, making it possible to play on computers, tablets, and even cell phones, unlike the old traditional games where playing meant getting exercise. This type of play should be controlled by parents and time limits should be set so that it doesn't compromise the child's life, as well as to preserve their health.

Spending many hours in front of the computer and television can cause vision problems. In addition, children's games where the child is sitting mean they do not burn the calories consumed during the day, which can lead to being overweight and subsequent problems like high cholesterol or even childhood obesity. Children who are not encouraged to play can spend hours in front of the television and struggle to develop their social life. Therefore, it's the responsibility of parents to encourage, impose time limits, and provide moments of fun. Teach them the games from your childhood as well as current ones, and show them how much fun it is to be a child.
