When I was pregnant, I lived every day intensely. I looked up countless childbirth videos to calm myself and also to experience that moment in advance. Real scenes of natural childbirth at this stage of life bring us a taste of the emotional event we’re about to have! That’s why I selected some childbirth scenes I’ve recently watched on YouTube.
What makes these births different and worth sharing here? The love surrounding them, the new identity of a mother being born with her child, the raw truth of everything that happens during birth, and I can’t leave out the happiness of the moment. Feeling your baby being born is indescribable! Hearing their cry and feeling the relief of knowing everything went well… It comforts the mother and also clarifies many doubts1. We no longer go into the delivery room blindfolded like our mothers and grandmothers did. We can know every single detail of what is to come and also how we should or shouldn’t act during this magical moment in life. Should I push now? Epidural or not? Dad in the delivery room?
