Some women hold off on announcing their pregnancy for a while, at least until the 12th week of pregnancy, to avoid stress in case something unforeseen happens. But there is no sweeter family moment than news like this. The arrival of a new family member is considered a milestone in a couple’s life, even more so when it is the first pregnancy among the adults in the family. A cute, healthy baby is the wish of parents, siblings, and grandparents. Imagine the joy of knowing your genes will be carried on to another generation! Besides, having a child in the family brings so much happiness, and along with immeasurable love, it brings new energy to festive occasions like Christmas, for example. Who hasn’t found themselves decorating a tree again after many years without putting one up? When a baby arrives in the family, all those traditions come back with full force.
I was the first to give this happiness to my parents and in-laws. Even though it was quite a shock, the first pregnancy was announced and later embraced with a lot of love. The second time, when the baby actually developed and was born, I could feel how cherished I was, and that child was loved by all the grandparents and uncles and aunts.
