What Are Stretch Marks?
The skin is basically made up of fibers, and a stretch mark is the stretching with rupture of the fibers that make up the skin, whether it’s on the belly, breasts, thighs or any other part of the body. During pregnancy, the uterus grows as the pregnancy progresses and as a result the abdominal skin is stretched and when it goes beyond its capacity, stretch marks during pregnancy appear.

Author’s Experience
When I was pregnant for the first time, I went to a dermatologist who prescribed me a formula with components like grape oil and some other ingredients, but for me personally it didn’t help much, they appeared in large quantity on my abdomen. Even though I used almond oil after bathing, they still appeared, so that didn’t work either.
Now in my second pregnancy I used a product that really played an important role for me—it was rosehip oil, it’s very fragrant and really good, I didn’t get stretch marks this pregnancy. We recommend Famivita’s Rosehip Oil
In the third pregnancy I received a cream as a gift from a friend, she bought it for about $5.00 in the USA and I fell in love with it, it’s called Cocoa Butter for pregnant women, it’s a tube that lasted the whole pregnancy because I alternated it with rosehip oil—the two combined were perfect!
It has a wonderful coconut scent and I was surprised by the price and quality. Here in Brazil you can find it for around R$100.00. That’s a big price difference, so if you’re traveling abroad or know someone who is, it really makes a difference to bring it from there.
Stretch marks… I already had them, so is there a solution now? Well, these days there are very advanced treatments when it comes to stretch marks; soon I’ll talk about them in more depth.
