History

Clínica Fetus was inaugurated in 2008, after its director, Dr. Joney Fábio, finished his studies in São Paulo. Initially located on Rua João Ribeiro Lima, it moved in 2013 to its current address, with a larger physical structure.

In addition to acquiring new equipment, in recent years the clinic has also partnered with the Lima do Vale laboratory and is setting up the first laboratory for intrauterine insemination and semen cryopreservation in the interior of Alagoas.

About the medical staff

The director and also the physician in charge of clinic activities is Dr. Joney Fábio. After graduating in medicine from the State University of Health Sciences of Alagoas (UNCISAL) and completing his medical residency in gynecology and obstetrics at Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC/SP), Dr. Joney went on to specialize in four areas: obstetric ultrasound, general ultrasound, assisted reproduction, and fetal echocardiography.

The clinic, through Dr. Joney, is affiliated with the Brazilian Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FEBRASGO), the Brazilian Society of Human Reproduction (SBRH), the Brazilian Society of Endometriosis and Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery (SBE), the Brazilian Society of Ultrasound (SBUS), and the International Society of Ultrasound in Gynecology and Obstetrics (ISUOG).

Besides assisted reproduction services (clinical evaluation of infertile couples, IVF, ovulation induction, and others), Fetus Clinic also offers gynecology services (oncotic colpocytology, colposcopy, transvaginal ultrasound, among others), maternal-fetal medicine (obstetric ultrasound, morphological ultrasound, Doppler flowmetry), and various other types of ultrasounds.
