History

The clinic’s founder, Dr. Kazue Harada Ribeiro, was part of Dr. Milton Nakamura’s team, which was responsible for the first test-tube baby born in Brazil. After working as an assistant at the Faculty of Medicine, in the Conjugal Sterility Unit at the University of São Paulo Hospital (USP), she then decided to create a Human Reproduction Center – Clinifert. The clinic was founded in 1997, making it one of the first to use new assisted reproduction techniques in the state of Santa Catarina.

Clinifert also has a certification from the Latin American Network of Assisted Reproduction: the gold seal. This means it complies with the standards established for assisted reproduction laboratories.

About the medical staff

In addition to Dr. Kazue Harada and Dr. Mila Harada, Clinifert’s team also includes Dr. Gustavo Cerqueira, a doctor specialized in acupuncture, and biomedical professional Vanessa Perez.
