History

The Pró-Fértil Group – Center for Reproductive Medicine was founded by a group of physicians specializing in fertility. Activities began in 2008 and the team is coordinated by Dr. Marco Antônio Lourenço, who is well known in the field of human reproduction. To date, more than 5,000 In Vitro Fertilization cycles have been performed by the team.

The Hospital and Clinic of São Gonçalo are part of the history of the Pró-Fértil Group, as it initially operated within the hospital’s structure. In 2018, the Clinic opened its headquarters in the city of Niterói (RJ), and in 2019 the activities were moved to this new location, becoming a space with over 700 m², with the aim of offering modernity and safety in client care.
